APRIL 2017 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Dear Members,
As per the Club Secretary’s previously email, membership renewal is due in the month of April.
Please note that renewals will not be accepted before 1st April and that members who do not renew by 30th April risk their membership being relinquished.
This year we are trying something new and will ask members to complete a very brief form at the time of renewing (it will only take a couple of minutes) – see below for some Frequently Asked Questions. In addition, the form has been attached in order that you can familiarise yourself with it prior to coming in to the club to renew. Please note that you will need to bring your membership card with you to renew your membership – If you do not have a membership card (i.e. lost) a new one will be ordered at a cost of £1.00 to you. In this instance and in view that we have some newer members of staff who may not recognise all members please bring some name ID with you. Please note that membership will unable to be renewed without a membership card or ID.
In order to make the renewal process as smooth as possible for all concerned we would politely request that where ever possible you come to renew your membership between the hours of 7 – 9 pm on a weekday and 12 – 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Membership will be able to be renewed outside of these hours but as a committee we are making provision to have someone else present during these times – please be aware that you may have to wait for a member of staff should you renew outside of these times.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do I now have to complete a form when in the past I have never had to do this?
With the club membership changing annually, in addition to maintaining current contact details of members, the committee would like to gather information so that we can ensure that members are getting the most of the club.
Is completing this form mandatory?
The committee don’t want to force members to complete it, however, it will only take a couple of minutes and will be much appreciated and will help us grow as a club.
Will the information be shared with any third parties?
No. The information you provide will be used for no other reason than for the club’s purposes. If you have any questions relating to the club’s data protection policy, please contact the Club Secretary.
What if I don’t have an email address?
If you do not have an email address, the club will issue your renewal reminder by post. In addition, newsletters are displayed on the notice board within the club.
Does the club have a website?
Yes. The club’s website www.carltonclub.weebly.com is updated regularly and contains information about the club and its activities.
What do I do if I have any additional questions about renewal or any other matter relating to the club?
Please use the suggestion box which is located by the inside entrance door to the club, all suggestions are given full consideration and the committee will respond to your question in due course.
If I’m not happy about this shall I give the bar staff a hard time?
No - Please don’t shoot the messenger! This is something the committee would like to trial to hopefully improve the club for all members – the bar staff are just doing their job.
Thank you for your co-operation and support, The Carlton Club Committee
