Wow the summer heat has really made its mark this July but some light reprieve with some welcome rain but not for too long I hope.
The club has been very busy with the World Cup, thanks to England doing us proud to get to the semi final. Thanks to Lyn, Steve and Andy Payne for all the good work in providing us with the food and snacks. And also the bar staff.
Please can I remind members’ that the member’s card is for the sole use for that person whose name is on the card ONLY. Please refer to the club rule on the notice board.
Can I also remind members and guests to supervise their children at all times whilst on club premises. And to please make sure that all toys are put back in the toy box carefully which was recently broken and has now been fixed.
We as a committee we have been approached by the Carlton Club Football Team to sponsor them however as a committee we do not feel that we need to advertise the club so have declined. However if you or you know of a business that would be interested in sponsoring them then please contact Jack Dent or Ben Luff. They already have their football kit so this would not need to be purchased.
I must thank Mike and Sheila Stubbs for the garden, flower pots and hanging baskets bringing a welcome array of colour to our garden this summer. Mike is also looking at tidying the front of the club too.
Back to Blonde was a very successful evening with very good attendance thanks to Lyn and Steve for the BBQ and Chris Jenkins for his disco.
