Subscription based televised sports survey.
I would like to remind you that the deadline for responses on the televised sports survey is Friday 30th November at 11pm. Responses after this time will not be considered.
To date we have had just 33 responses so if you have a view, time is running out to share it with us.
If you intend to respond please take time to read the background information as a number of the surveys returned make points that are already illustrated in the covering information such as how much are we currently paying.
Collectively, all member opinions count and we thank you for your views on this matter.
Membership
Can I please remind all temporary members’ need to attend the club regularly if they wish to be considered for membership and record each visit in the visitor’s book, the book is regularly monitored.
24 Nov. Elvis Tribute - What a fantastic turn out for Elvis he was brilliant he entertained us throughout the evening and from what a lot members’ and their guests have told me they had a really fantastic evening. I am sure we will not be seeing the last of him.
Future events

The party Season is nearly upon us “oh yes it is”
Not long now for this years Carlton Club Panto on 7th and 8th Dec - Panto Directed by none other than Alan Jenkins. We still have tickets for Sale for all 3 performances Adults £3 and children are free the kids still need a ticket.
The snooker room will be unavailable from 5th Dec until Sunday 09th Dec inclusive as it is needed as a dressing room.
03rd Dec Xmas bingo eyes down at 20.00hrs – don’t forget to wear your Xmas jumpers/hats.
09 Dec Darts Tournament
The Ladies knockout tournament will be held on Sunday 9th December.
There are currently 10 ladies in the draw, if there are more ladies who'd like to enter the draw, there is entry list on the notice board, or contact me, (details below).
The mens competition has reached its semi final stage.
The last 4 of the 32 entrants are Andy Hamson, Barry Downer, Gary Wallis and John Hills.
The proposed format is:-
2pm - Ladies draw and tournament to start, playing to the semi final stage.
food will be supplied prior to the semi/final matches.
7pm - Ladies semi final, mens semi final, ladies Final then mens final.
there will be a presentation to winners of each competitions.
Support for the players is most welcome.

12th Dec Xmas Decorations to be put up in the club can we please have some volunteers mince Pies will be served.
15th Dec Xmas dinner SOLD OUT
20th Dec Christmas Quiz Chris J is in the seat. Maximum 6 in a team, Their will also be half time traditional refreshments. Christmas jumpers optional.
23rd Dec Children's Xmas Party Free event as we have to limit this to 50 children ages 2- 12 this is open to children and Grandchildren only – Back by popular demand is Adam the Magic Music Man. And Santa of course. The book is open names in the book please.
23rd Dec in the evening Xmas Raffle. Charlie is heading the Xmas raffle again this year tickets now on sale.
26th Dec Boxing day club will be open from 12.00 free event with live music from Pat Dave and Kev Smith. Please put your names in the book.
New Years Eve – Luxury Buffett and Guest DJ £10 members and £15 Guests. Book is open and tickets are now on sale from Monday 26/11/18 whereby members can get 2 tickets and a further 2 more on Tuesday 04/12/18 and NOT Monday the 3rd Due to Xmas Bingo. I will let you know if any tickets left after the 10th Dec.
26th Jan 2019 – Natasha Bean as Madonna – Members £6 Guests £8. Tickets on Sale Monday 07/01/2019
09th Feb 2019 - We have for the first time at the club another big local band Fleetingwood Mac. Tickets Members £8 Guests £10 Members will be able to purchase 2 Tickets from Monday 21/01/2019 and then a further 2 on 28/01/2019. Please get your tickets early as they are a very popular band.
09th March 2019 80’s evening with Talk of the Town 80’s Band - Free drink for those that are in 80’s fancy dress.
All the usual events will continue Key to a fortune and Meat raffle every Friday, Bingo first Monday of the Month, Quiz Night every Thursday and Karaoke once a fortnight.
