Garden Only
Following careful consideration and planning we are pleased to announce that the Club will be open to members this coming Sunday for three trial sessions.
Members are eligible to book one, two or all three sessions.
The sessions are as follows
Session One – Garden Drinks
12.00 midday to 1.45pm
Session Two- Live Music
Dave Barrett live lounge
2pm to 5.45pm
Session Three – Garden Drinks
6pm to 7.30pm
We will be operating under the
Current Pub Garden RULE of SIX guidelines
so
Please read the booking criteria very carefully
Under Government Guidelines we can have up to six people from a maximum of six households sat together or two households with any number. (We will limit this to 8 people). Unlike last year it is a legal requirement for us to record ALL people attending these sessions. Children count as one person.
These sessions will be table service only
For this event the smoking area will be used for additional seating and smokers will be asked to use a designated area outside.
Dress for the weather
The daytime temperature for this event is forecast at between 12 and 16 degrees. When the sun is out of view it will get cold. You are advised to dress accordingly and we advise that you over estimate how cold it may get. By all means bring your own blankets. There is no heating in the garden.

The Main Event

There is no food for this event but please bring a small picnic if you wish and make sure you dispose of any rubbish responsibly
We have a number of tables available for members to book and enjoy the event.
In view of safety factors the capacity will be set depending on demographic and safe seating (members, their immediate households only). This is our first event in 2021 and we will do everything to help it run smoothly but above all safely.
This event is subject to weather conditions and has no back up plan in the event of unsuitable weather conditions
Booking Instruction
- Strictly by pre booking only to allocated tables
- Tables will be on a first come first served booking basis.
- Members can book a maximum of one table with a maximum bubble size of six people or two households (max 8 people)
- This is only open to members and their immediate family
- Booking should be done by email only on the Carlton Club email on a first come first served basis.

- First Booking opportunity will be available from 10am Wednesday 21st April –Not Before
- Bookings only available by this email and they will be processed in strict rotation of the time they are received. When places are gone they are gone and we will hold a reserve list
- On your email will need to quote the following
- Date – Sunday 25th April
- Event – Which Session number (s)
- Member Name
- Number in Bubble
- Names and contact number of all people in Bubble
- Bookings will be processed in strict rotation based on the time the email is received
- We will endeavor to confirm your booking ASAP but before the end of the following day.
- If you are unsuccessful we will endeavor to let you know as soon as possible
- Please do not no show without a prior cancellation or good reason as it will impact on members that may have missed out.
- If your session is ending and you wish to continue into the next session it will only be possible if there is space unbooked.
How it works
To ensure maximum comfort, safety and opportunity for members, tables will be allocated to a Bubble.
A Bubble consists of one table of up to six people that pal up to form their own bubble or two households (max 8).
To give members a fair chance to be welcomed back for this event we wish to balance numbers on tables and encourage you to form safe cooperative bubbles, which follow the new Rule of six government guidelines.
FAMILIES
We will have a limited, small roped off area where families with children under 12 years will be welcome. When those spaces are gone they are gone. It is important that you tell us if you are bringing children and their ages as well please.
This is an outdoor session. Under the rule of six there will be no indoor seating available for this event and apart from entering the building to use toilet facilities all ordering will be table service only. Toilet visits are permitted inside.
Drinks to be ordered by table service providing procedures are followed.
Please be patient if we are busy
We have upgraded our garden wifi and all purchases should be made by card.
We have planned that the Smoking Area will be suspended for this event and smokers will need to use an area as designated outside the club reached by the exit.
Please make sure all waste is removed and taken home or put in a separate bag and decant to the bin OUTSIDE the Club main door
Many tables have parasols but not all. We cannot guarantee a parasol but will do our best to provide one.
Garden Tables Plan
We will lay out tables in the most efficient manner according to booking criteria, order of requests received and demographic. We are unfortunately not able to offer a choice of where to sit it will be allocated based on maximizing the seating efficiency to our demographic. Please do not ask to move tables it will make things more difficult for our staff.
If you are a group of 4 or smaller please let us know whether you would be willing to share a table with another member. This is optional and may allow us slightly more capacity (We will not deviate from Government guidelines which could therefore increase any risk )
We will try to match bubble size with capacity to ensure people are sat in safe groups on appropriate tables
- Members will be expected to strictly adhere to the Covid rules in place and socially distance at all times
- Entry will be by front door
- Only on visits to the toilet will people be allowed indoors
- You must wear a face covering when going inside to use the bathroom, unless you are exempt
- Empty glasses must be returned to the designated point and not left to accumulate. (location TBC)
- Exit is through the side gate NOT indoors
In the unlikely event of rain this event will be cancelled or abandoned, as there is no facility to compromise.
Session two is another special music afternoon positioned for the enjoyment of members. Attendees will need to please respect conversational boundaries whilst the performer is live, as volume will be strictly controlled.
