The club is self funded with the main income coming from subscriptions by members and sales behind the bar. Membership is by application only, but please feel free to add your name to the waiting list. A copy of the application form can be found on the General Info page. You can also find an application for tennis membership, and details of hiring the hall and request form.

Firm favourites with members also include organised outings to Goodwood races, car treasure hunts, local organised walks, and race nights. In addition social events are staged at weekends, theme nights, and barbecues.
Each year the club also raises money for charity, and this year the president has selected two charities, the British Heart Foundation and Multiple Sclerosis

The club team compete in the Portsmouth League, and anybody who is keen to play will be welcome. Unfortunately, we have been unable to enter a team for the 2015 winter league as insufficient numbers. We have 4 new cues available for use if you need them, and for a 3 month period you can play for free on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Portsmouth league fixtures and results Clay Pigeon Shooting - The club holds a 60 bird clay shoot at Brick Kiln Farm, near Four Marks, Alton on the last Sunday of every month. Meet at 10:00 for a 10:30 start. All are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary. Shotguns and ammunition can be supplied if necessary.

Tennis - The tennis facilities are available to all club members by either joining the tennis section by means of paying an annual subscription or by paying a court fee per session. The tennis facilities are also available to guests when accompanied by a club member. Further details including fees can be found on the clubs activities notice board.
The tennis section are also affiliated to the Portsmouth and District LTA and enter teams in the mixed tennis league. If anyone is interested in playing competitive tennis then please contact Mel Davis ([email protected]) Playing in the league does mean that sometimes the courts will not be available for general use, so please either check the club notice board or the club's Facebook/Twitter pages where the fixture lists will be promulgated. Carlton Club Tennis rules Sea Fishing - If you are interested in Sea Fishing (whether an experienced angler or novice) we plan to run someboat fishing trips with local skippers in 2015, with the emphasis on a fun day out and maybe a drink or two at the club afterwards.
