Dear members
A cheeky little update for you all in between my regular newsletter about future events laid on by the committee for the benefit of members and their guests.
Firstly, the bad news, our suppliers have raised costs some time ago, this along with the new tax on alcohol means that some (not all) prices has had to increase to ensure we remain within our pricing policy.
Our long-term maintenance of the building programme will shortly see some improvements with a fresh lick of paint which is now well overdue. The bar area & conservatory will undergo a freshening up of the furniture which will be closely followed by the hall area upgrade (hopefully before Christmas😊). All of this continues to ensure that we maintain a good standard for members with reliable & more importantly safe furniture. Once done the old furniture will be sold off so if you’re interested, let us know asap.
Due to demand, the committee has decided to open a little earlier on Fridays at 4pm for those needing a pick me up after a hectic working week (its not the mums before anyone says it😊), it starts this week 22nd Sept.
I know its only Sept but another look forward for you all, is the Lovel Brooke Star singing for us on Christmas Eve and getting the club open for the first time on Boxing Day. Don’t forget your tickets for these events this year; -
14th Oct – Sing-along Queen (free event)
21st Oct – Beer & Wine Festival £12 (ticket only, hog roast & some free drinks)
29th Oct – Kids Halloween party (booking open)
11th Nov – Elvis £5 (Includes a Burger)
18th Nov – Kojaks £12 (ticket only)
16th Dec – Christmas Dinner Dance £30 (a must attend event)

24th Dec – Brooke Star (free event - 5pm) (takeaway night😊)

Thanks Charlie
